|
What We Do Our Mission To promote and assist the growth of local and statewide women's bar associations and ideas among women's bar associations and women's bar sections of local and statewide bar associations;
To serve as a vehicle for the exchange and dissemination of information and ideas among women's bar associations and women's bar sections of local and statewide bar associations;
To promote and protect the interest of women attorneys in achieving full participation in all the rights, privileges, and benefits of the legal profession; and
To promote the advancement of women in society and in the administration of justice.
Our National Network Women's bar associations or sections of state or local bar associations are members of the NCWBA. By keeping in touch with one another, we can share best practices for meeting the needs of the individual women lawyers who comprise the membership of each of our associations. We communicate via a monthly electronic newsletter, the Women's Bar Leader listserve, this website, Facebook and Twitter. One of our most popular ways of sharing ideas is our in-person Women's Bar Leader Summit. Usually held in August in conjunction with the American Bar Association's annual meeting, the Summit provides a full day of networking and inspiration for those with a particular interest in meeting the needs of women in the law. |
