Our Women Leaders

Officers and directors of the NCWBA represent member organizations. Officers serve one-year terms. Each member organization is encouraged to nominate someone to the board. Elections are held at each annual meeting, with geographical balance serving as an important criterion for selection.

Board meetings are held three times a year: at the American Bar Association annual and midyear meetings and at a Fall board retreat.

The next ABA midyear meetings will be held in the following locations: 

• Los Angeles, February 6-12, 2008
• Boston, February 11-17, 2009. 

The next ABA annual meetings will be held in the following locations: 

• New York, August 7-12, 2008
• Chicago, July 30 - August 4, 2009.
